Abstract A system to classify and catalogue digital photographs of meters generally, but not always, at time of capture; define attributes to be extracted from each type of classified photo and; utilize crowdsourcing networks to perform the extraction of attributes.
Description
DESCRIPTION ORDITAL has developed a methodology for classifying photographs of meters, such as but not limited to electricity meter, gas meters, water meters and other meters fixed to equipment such as but not limited to odometers on vehicles or flow meters on pumps. The innovation is in three parts which can be implemented together or separately. ORDITAL is making three specific claims for innovation (1) to classify and catalogue digital photographs of meters generally, but not always, at time of capture; (2) define attributes to be extracted from each type of classified photo in innovation 1 and; (3) utilize crowdsourcing networks to perform the extraction of attributes defined in innovation 2 for photographs classified in innovation 1. 1
