EDITORIAL NOTE 2015101309 - There are 6 pages of Description which are not page numbered TITLE VE Gauge and accessory dash holder mount FIELD OF INVENTION The present invention relates to a mounting platform for the Holden VE and HSV range of vehicles which will allow a convenient location without damaging or degrading the vehicles interior with quick installation addressing safety concerns BACKGROUND OF INVENTION While vehicles come standard with certain components it is appreciated that many aftermarket gauges and accessories are not available on the VE 1Holden and Hsv commodore series of cars .This has created the requirement for aftermarket gauges to be used to monitor, maintain the integrity of the cars functioning and also to warn of problems. Additionally gauges and varied accessories, switches would need a suitable mounting holder so they can be fitted to the car without damaging or defacing the car's interior. Prior art also has no customisable mount but set to particular design thereby limiting the options for mounting a variety of combinations of gauges or accessories to any mount. Prior art does not provide for a multifunctional customisable mounting platform which can be used for a multitude of usages by drilling or cutting to suit. This has also resulted in costly damage to cars original trims in the positions accessories gauges switches etc are fitted to. Prior art holders mounts tend to be mounted in higher positions where gauge lighting can interfere with driver's sight especially at night time therefore decreasing safety while driving. Existing after market gauge holders mounts sit in a position making the installation of products more time consuming and making it more difficult to access the cars wiring. Low mount positioned drillable customisable dedicated mounting platform option not available limiting consumers' mounting choices for aftermarket gauges or accessories.
OBJECT OF INVENTION Accordingly it is an object of the present invention to provide a customizable, drillable dash console car mounting platform in a central visible location for the mounting of after-market gauges or accessories to the interior of the VE Holden Commodore or HSV series vehicle without the need to drill into factory trims with clear visibility to driver for readability within reach without obstructing the driver or their view through the windscreen minimising safety hazards also to provide the market place with an alternative to existing mounting devices for aftermarket gauges, two way radios and other dash mountable accessories with ease of installation . STATEMENT OF OBJECT The invention addresses the need for a drillable mounting platform for one two or three gauges or accessories to be mounted or installed while fitting into and integrating into the central dash radio console directly under the radio assembly of the VE 1 Holden Commodore and hsv series range of vehicles. The invention also relieves the limitation of prior art to be an aftermarket gauge holder and or the optional accessory mount holder. Users can drill the platform to add switches small two way radios mobile phone cradles and other mountable devices. The invention addresses issues of damaging a vehicles interior by avoiding screwing or drilling to factory trim by using existing panels screw mounting points to secure the invention to the same factory points. Furthermore by providing an alternative mounting position for gauges and accessories it eliminates car interior damage. Another concern addressed by the invention is that it minimises protrusions therefore direct impact with driver by avoiding top of dashboard below windscreen and is placed in a position where it is recessed into the dash in a central location replacing the factory coin and flip pocket. The low position also avoids direct reflection of light directly into the eyes of the driver reducing vision interference while driving avoiding tiredness and confusion especially with night time driving from prior art. The positioning of the invention provides easy access/ room for wiring as there is sufficient room and access to run wires directly to to their connections. The mount alleviates prior arts limitation in that it is a customisable to mount one two or three gauges by drilling holes and in popular sizes therefore if the public wishes to add a gauge they can do so without the need for purchasing a dedicated holder to suit minimising cost. The invention allows viewing by passenger and driver so that in high speed and troubleshooting the gauge information can be monitored more safely and longer periods by passenger allowing driver to concentrate on safe driving, Brief description of drawings Figure 1 is a view of the invention installed in place with the factory radio fascia in place with the shaded area highlighting the invention itself. Figure 2 is a view of the invention installed in position with factory radio fascia removed. Figure 3 is a side view of the invention with front and back clearly labelled . Detailed description of invention Technical contents and detailed description of present invention with reference to diagrams. Figure one shows the installed position of the invention underneath the factory radio fascia which the invention sits back into its position with the factory radio fascia clipped into the main control module pressing the invention with its screw securing points securely. Figure 3 displays the invention side view from the drivers side and shows features which are essential to fit in with the factory and give it stability to hold and items mounted to or into it. The top flap 3 extends below the factory radio fascia straight down between the gap of the original radio fascia and radio module which it clips into with its existing plastic clips with electronic connector. The invention then leads down to the upper bend 4 which leads directly away from the radio body to main body 2 which sits at a slight angle upwards so that mounted devices and accessories can be viewed clearer by driver or passenger. The main body 2 then leads down to lower bend 5 which base 1 sits under the console gear surround factory fascia trim and is screwed to factory mounting points where the existing factory coin pocket or flip top coin holder used to be screwed into but is removed to fit the invention. Figure 2 shows the invention installed with no obstruction from the radio fascia with the optional 2 gauge holder as the example in the diagram. It includes 1 Base 2 Main Body 3 Top Flap 4 upper bend 5 lower flap and screw holes a ,b,c and d. Top flap 3 is shaped to fit flat against the factory radio body and be mounted using existing screws by removing them from the factory coin pocket or flip lid pocket then reinstalling them to holes A and B securing the top flap.
The main body faces at a slight angled position and is the area which has the functionality to be drilled, screwed, cut customised to mount various accessories devices switches or gauges. Upper bend 4 from the top flap 3 contains a contains an approximately 90 degree bend which sits under the factory radio fascia protruding then has another angled bend downwards joining to the main body 2 . Lower bend is at angle towards the gear shift to where the screws which were used for the removed factory pocket are used to secure the lower flap 1 which sits under the factory gear surround assembly
