Abstract

Traditional vehicle hoists are normally fixed to the ground. Cars need to be towed to workshop for repairs. This may cause inconveniences especially in emergency. We have created this idea to make a portable hoist that can meet urgent situation to offer an onsite service. 1 Description Title of Invention Multifunction Platform Background [0001]Traditional vehicle hoists are normally fixed to the ground. Cars need to be towed to workshop for repairs. This may cause inconveniences especially in emergency. We have created this idea to make a portable hoist that can meet urgent situation to offer an onsite service. Based on this idea, the invention can be applied to different fields such as multilevel car park, easy loading car trailer, etc. Technical Field [0002]The idea is to build a hoist on the trailer. There is a platform installed on the hoist which can carry a car. The platform can be lifted and lowered using a pulley hydraulic system. There are four brackets at the corners of the platform to support it and balance the lifting/lowering process. The wheels of the trailer can be adjusted so that the trailer chassis is lifted or lowered. Once the platform is in use, the wheels can be adjusted so that the trailer chassis is lowered to the ground. It provides a more stable working environment for the platform. The platform can also be extended to provide a wider operation space and to suit wider vehicles. [0003]When the platform is in lower position, it sits on the chassis. Vehicle can be driven on the platform via a ramp. The vehicle is tied down on the platform, and then the platform can be raised using a pulley hydraulic system installed inside the arms of the hoist. [0004]When the platform is in up position, there is enough space underneath the platform to allow repairs job done by mechanics. Also there is enough space for another car to be driven on the chassis via two channels. The height can be adjusted to suit different operation requirements.

2 [0005]There is a foldable ramp on the front of the platform. When the platform is in up position, the ramp can be rotated to form a bridge to connect the platform to another high platform such as a flat tray truck. [0006]The platform can be extended using the pulley hydraulic system. Both the platform and chassis extend simultaneously to provide a wider operating space. The wheels can be adjusted so that the chassis sits on the ground to provide a stable and balanced operating environment. Summary of Invention [0007]The purpose for this invention is to build a platform, which can be lifted and lowered on a mobile trailer. To achieve this purpose, the hoist should be built on the trailer to raise and lower the platform. The mechanism of the invention is to build a hoist which contains a pulley hydraulic system in its two arms, which can raise/lower/extend the platform. [0008]Figure 1 shows the platform in lower position. The platform (2) sits on the chassis (1). The hoist (3) connects with the platform (2) and can raise the platform (2) using a pulley hydraulic system. There is a foldable ramp (4) on the front of the platform (2). [0009]Figure 2 shows the platform in up position and is extended. The platform (2) is supported and balanced with 4 brackets (5). The wheels are adjusted so that the chassis (1) sits on the ground. The pulley hydraulic system in the hoist (3) extends both the chassis (1) and the platform (2). The foldable ramp (4) extends to the front of the platform (2).

3 Description of Embodiments [0010]With this invention, it could help solve some problems we have in the real life. Mechanics can offer repairs onsite with the portable hoist especially in emergency. [0011]This invention can be applied on car transportation. Normally trailers can only tow a single car. With this trailer with hoist, two cars can be towed at one time. [0012]This invention can be applied for car loading service. The hoist can raise a car to the same level as a tray truck and the car can be driven via the foldable ramp on the tray of the truck. It works well for trucks without a tipper tray. [0013]This invention can be applied for car parking service. For carparks with enough height clearance, two cars can be parked on one park spot using the trailer with hoist.

Claims (1)

1. The trailer with an adjustable platform. A platform, connected to the chassis of the trailer via two hoist arms, driven by a pulley hydraulic system, can lower to sit on the chassis and be raised to different levels. A hoist, built on the trailer chassis, raises, lowers and extends the platform using a build-in pulley hydraulic system.
