Abstract

An information system to assist in preventing fuel theft from service centres. The information system provides service centre attendants with time critical information warning of a likely "drive off" scenario based on car registration. The attendant can then determine whether to allow fuel delivery. The system also provides the ability to easily report "drive off" scenarios to police. The system may be provided as a wearable device, as part of a smart phone, or on fixed smart screens at the attendant's console. The search process is very fast with voice command based interaction with database system with results visible on wearable device on his or her wrist or in their smartphones or on fixed smart screens at console. Request to result is typically within two to three seconds. The provided data will save petrol stations avoid drive offs to occur in the first place and get warned on customers who are most likely to unable to pay and may not drive off. It will also have the provision to report the drive offs to nearest police station online and auction off failure to pay to collection agencies. Part: It will be a state of the art touch and voice command based interface with wearable device that searches our unique database to give the operator time critical information before he presses authorize or stop buttons. It is a combination of human and system's interaction that produces the result, first of its kind that is available anywhere in the world for petrol station console operators. From voice command to a decision of the operator is within seconds depending on Internet speed at their location. Part2: The way it uses the positive and negative data requests in to building its own set of new pieces of data will make the system more sophisticated for operators. Positive data of a paying customer data will start to give positive rating on their cars and negative outcome for the operator will start giving the negative rating in the database. More users and more requests into system search get turned into more reliable and accurate pieces of information on a particular car registration number. Data request history is preserved to maintain and assess the behavior of a particular car. So it is a self-improving and it kind of grows into more accurate by day, more users it gets the larger and accurate it becomes. We basically make operators generate data and share it effectively to avoid losses. It would also get data feed from vehicle registration and law and order authorities.
Part3: It has the utility to report drive off online to closest police station and auction off his failure to pay cases to collection agents and quickly close the matters. Police will have all necessary evidence ready and collectible (video & pictures) to mount cases against the offenders in the court, making their job much easier. Operator will hardly spend any time on drive-off or FTP reporting or recovery.
