Description

- 1 A Moxibustion Bed FIELD OF THE INVENTION [0001] This invention relates to an instrument for traditional Chinese moxibustion therapy, in particular to a moxibustion bed. BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION [0002] Any discussion of the prior art throughout the specification should in no way be considered as an admission that such prior art is widely known or forms part of common general knowledge in the field. [0003] Moxibustion has thousands of years of history in China. Traditionally, wormwood is shaped into strips (we call it moxa-cigar) or moxa and then the air is held in by hand to perform moxibustion at a certain acupuncture point or a small container is inserted and placed at a certain acupuncture point of the body to perform warm moxibustion. This traditional moxibustion method only uses a small part of the heat and gets rid of all smoke, while the acupuncture point is locally warmed. The effects of eliminating cold-dampness, invigorating the circulation of blood and dispersing blood stasis are usually achieved by performing warm moxibustion for a certain time every day in a long period (it may be months, even years). However, due to local warm moxibustion (at a certain acupuncture point), those effects are not timely and obvious, so the value of moxibustion in the aspect of curing diseases does not emerge quickly. [0004] Moxibustion is performed at acupuncture points one by one at present and takes many minutes at every point, and the acupuncture points have to wait for moxibustion in turn. As a treatment or to keep in good health, moxibustion is usually required to be performed at 5-6, even more than a dozen acupuncture points, so the patient is required to spend several hours every day and has to persist for a long time. However, the patient usually feels that time for achieving the treatment effect is longer than that of the western medicines and therefore is difficult to persist with the treatment. Therefore, the traditional moxibustion has the following major disadvantages at present: elimination of local cold-dampness, slow effect of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, long moxibustion time, failure to quickly eliminate toxins from the whole body, low heat utilization rate, and zero utilization ratio of smoke generated by burning the wormwoods.
-2 BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0005] It is an object of the present invention to provide a rationally structured, widely applied, safe, reliable and very comfortable moxibustion bed to overcome the defects of the prior art. [0006] To this end, the present invention provides a moxibustion bed, comprises a bedstead, a cover and a moxibustion basin; the cover is arranged on the bedstead, together with the bedstead forming a fumigating cavity receiving human body; and the moxibustion basin is arranged in the fumigating cavity. [0007] Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, throughout the description and the claims, the words "comprise", "comprising", and the like are to be construed in an inclusive sense as opposed to an exclusive or exhaustive sense; that is to say, in the sense of "including, but not limited to". [0008] The moxibustion basin can also be arranged outside the fumigating cavity, while the opening of the moxibustion basin is connected with the fumigating cavity. [0009] The moxibustion basin penetrates through the bedstead and is arranged below the bedstead. [0010] The upper surface of the bedstead is laid with a base plate, a thermal insulating cushion and a moisture-proof plastic cushion. [0011] The cover comprises a fumigating bracket, a sealing insulation layer and a waterproof layer and the sealing insulation layer and waterproof layer are both laid above the fumigating bracket. [0012] One end of the fumigating bracket in the length direction is an operable door. [0013] The openable door of the fumigating bracket is provided with an opening allowing the neck of a human body to pass through. [0014] The cross section of the fumigating bracket is reverse U-shaped, semi-round or open rectangular.
-3 [0015] The moxibustion basin is provided with an incense box and above the incense box is a smoke filter layer, a fireproof support and a waterproof layer. [0016] The bedstead outside of the cover is provided with a groove. When using this moxibustion bed, the user lies flat on the stomach with his/her face placed in the groove. [0017] The bedstead outside of the cover is provided with a pillow. The user lies on the bed with his/her head on the pillow. [0018] For the moxibustion bed, the cover is arranged on the bedstead, together with the bedstead forming a fumigating cavity. After placing the burning moxa-cigar in the moxibustion basin in the cover, smoke and heat are generated. The human body lies on the bed in the cover and in the most relaxed state, cells and nerves in the human body are also in the relaxed and comfortable state. The smoke and heat released by the wormwood generate certain vertical pressure difference in the cover after accumulation in a period of time to form smoke and heat circulation and bring heat into the skin and deeper main and collateral channels or tissues such as muscles and blood vessels. Such heat brought into the human body can naturally open the pores of the whole body from the inside, and then sweat flows out from the pores of the whole body, while toxic substances such as cold-dampness, toxic gases and heavy metals are exhausted out of the body along with the sweat. The water-soluble toxins in the human body are exhausted to the maximum extent. At the same time, the smoke generated by burning wormwood moves on the skin of the human body; when the fat soluble waste and toxins in the human body flow through the body surface by the motion of the slowly accelerating blood circulation, the smoke very easily absorbs the fat soluble waste on the skin due to its certain oiliness, thereby completely eliminating toxins. After substances causing stasis in vivo are exhausted, main and collateral channels become smooth naturally, thereby preventing and relieving the occurrence and development of diseases. When the in vivo environment of the human body is healthy and clean, the human body naturally recovers vigor and health. [0019] Compared with the prior art, the utility model has the following advantages and beneficial effects: [0020] (1) Quick effect, short time: this device can quickly eliminate toxins in the human body through moxibustion; -4 [0021] (2) Obvious toxin elimination effect: this utility model can exhaust the water soluble toxins and fat soluble toxins out of the human body; [0022] (3) Wide application scope: suitable for all ages and both sexes; [0023] (4) Safety and reliability: only the smoke and the warm heat come into contact with the human body, so personal safety is guaranteed; [0024] (5) Comforts: the human body lies on the bed and feels natural, comfortable and relaxed, while the toxins are exhausted from the human body in the semi-sleep and rest state.
