Description

1 VEHICLE WARNING UNIT BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a warning unit, and more particularly, to a warning unit installed to the rear end of a vehicle or a trailer. 2. Description of Related Art The conventional vehicle warning unit is disclosed in Fig. 8 and generally comprises a reflection plate 3 which is attached to the rear end of the vehicle so as to reflect the head lights of the following vehicle to remind or warn the following vehicles. However, the reflection plate 3 cannot provide better visible feature when located in a dark area such as when the vehicle is parked beside a dark roadside and the engine is not in function. The less warning feature provided from the vehicle may cause dangerous situation for the drivers of the following vehicles.
2 The present invention intends to provide a vehicle warning unit which has warning signals and indication signals so as to provide alert the following vehicles. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a vehicle warning unit connected to the rear end of a vehicle or a trailer, and includes a reflection plate located at the central portion of the warning unit. A bottom area is located at the lower end of the reflection plate and two lateral areas are located at two lateral sides of the reflection plate. Each of the bottom area and the two lateral areas have Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) connected thereto so as to perform as a brake light, turning lights and a backup light. Preferably, the bottom area has a brake light and the two lateral areas have turning lights. Alternatively, the bottom area has a brake light and the two lateral areas have turning lights and a backup light. Preferably, the warning unit is a triangular unit and the reflection plate is a triangular plate. The bottom area is located at the lower end of the 3 reflection plate and the two lateral areas are located at the two lateral sides of the reflection plate. Preferably, the warning unit is a circular unit and the reflection plate is a circular plate. The circular reflection plate has three segments along the periphery thereof. The bottom area and the two lateral areas are located in the three segments. The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is a perspective view to show the vehicle warning unit of the present invention; Fig. 2 shows that one vehicle warning unit of the present invention is connected to the rear end of a vehicle; Fig. 3 shows that two vehicle warning units of the present invention are connected to the rear end of a vehicle; 4 Fig. 4 is a perspective view to show the second embodiment of the vehicle warning unit of the present invention; Fig. 5 shows that one vehicle warning unit in Fig. 4 is connected to the rear end of a vehicle; Fig. 6 shows that two vehicle warning units in Fig. 4 are connected to the rear end of a vehicle; Fig. 7 shows that two third embodiments of the vehicle warning units of the present invention are connected to the rear end of a vehicle, and Fig. 8 shows the conventional vehicle warning unit. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Referring to Figs. 1 to 3, a vehicle warning unit 1 of the present invention is connected to rear end of a vehicle or a trailer, and comprises a reflection plate 11 located at the central portion of the warning unit 1. A bottom area 111 is located at the lower end of the reflection plate 11 and two lateral areas 112 are located at two lateral sides of the reflection plate 11. The reflection plate 11 reflects the head light of the following vehicles to acknowledge the drivers of the following vehicles the position 5 of the vehicle with the vehicle warning unit 1 of the present invention. Each of the bottom area 111 and the two lateral areas 112 having Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) 2 connected thereto. There are different ways of use for the bottom area 111 and the two lateral areas 112. The first way is that the bottom area 111 has a brake light "A" and the two lateral areas 112 have turning lights "B". Therefore, the brake light "A" turns on when the driver brakes, and one of the turning lights "B" is on when the vehicle is about to turn. As shown in Figs. 4 to 6, the second way is that the bottom area 111 has the brake light "A" and the outside portions of the two lateral areas 112 have the turning lights "B" and the inside portions of the two lateral areas 112 has a backup light "C" which is on when the driver shifts the gear to backup position. As shown in Fig. 7, the third way is that the bottom area 111 has the backup light "C" and the two lateral areas 112 have the turning lights "B" and the brake light "A".
6 As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the warning unit 1 is a triangular unit and the reflection plate 11 is a triangular plate. The bottom area 111 is located at the lower end of the reflection plate 11 and the two lateral areas 112 are located at the two lateral sides of the reflection plate 11. The arrangements of the brake light "A", the turning lights "B" and the backup light "C" are disclosed above. As shown In Figs. 4 to 6, the warning unit 1 is a circular unit and the reflection plate 11 is a circular plate. The circular reflection plate 11 has three segments along the periphery thereof. The bottom area 111 and the two lateral areas 112 are located in the three segments. The arrangements of the brake light "A", the turning lights "B" and the backup light "C" are disclosed above. As shown in Fig. 7, the warning unit 1 is a rectangular unit and the reflection plate 11 is a triangular plate so as to define the rectangular unit into an elongate rectangular area and located at the lower end of the reflection plate 11 and two triangular areas located at the two lateral sides of the reflection plate 11. The bottom area 111 is located in the elongate rectangular area, and the two lateral areas 112 are relocated in the two triangular areas. The backup light "C" is located at the elongate rectangular 7 area. The brake light "A" is located on outside of the two triangular areas, and the two turning lights "B" are located on the inside of the two triangular areas. The present invention has the reflection plate 11 and the function lights "A", "B", "C" so as to provide visible and clear signals to the following vehicles to ensure safe driving. The arrangements of the brake light "A", the turning lights "B" and the backup light "C" can be easily set to meet different needs. While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
