Regulation 3.2 AUSTRALIA PATENTS ACT 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION FOR AN INNOVATION PATENT ORIGINAL Name of Applicant: VISIO, s.r.o. Actual Inventor: Michal Pollak Address for Service: C/- MADDERNS, GPO Box 2752, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia Invention title: A PAIR OF PET BOTTLES WITH BEVERAGE The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to us.
PRIORITY DOCUMENT [0001] The present application claims priority from: Slovak Utility Mode Application No. PUV 50012-2011 filed on 28 January 2011, the content of which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety. TECHNICAL FIELD [0002] The present invention relates to PET bottles for beverages. BACKGROUND [0003] At present beverages are sold in PET bottles individually or in packages of 4 or 6 pieces enclosed with a shrink wrap. [0004] SK UV 3306 describes an ecological bottle that enables a secondary use after emptying. The bottle in a form of a block contains devices for both horizontal and vertical connection in order to create a wall design. The described bottle cannot fulfill a function of the joined PET bottles under this technical solution as the former concerns connecting of empty bottles for their secondary use. [0005] The objective of the solution was to create a friendly package of a pair of bottles with beverage that are divided into equal halves by a simple operation and thereby creating an opportunity to offer one half to a partner - friend. SUMMARY [0006] According to a first aspect, there is provided a pair of PET bottles with beverage consisting of two PET bottles with a screw neck characterized in that the first PET bottle contains an outer joining element on its outer neck surface and the second PET bottle is provided with an inner joining element on its inner neck surface in order to co-operate with the outer joining element of the first PET bottle and the first PET bottle is furnished with closing foil, whereas in a closed state the neck of the first PET bottle through the outer joining element is joined with the neck of the second PET bottles by means of its inner joining element. [0007] In a further aspect, the pair of PET bottles is characterised in that the joining element is a thread or a bayonet closure.
[0008] In a further aspect, the pair of PET bottles is characterised in that the connected necks of the first PET bottle and the second PET bottle are covered with a cover. In further aspects the cover is furnished with a recess for placing a small gift, and/or a sealing strip. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING [0009] A preferred embodiment of the present invention will be discussed with reference to the accompanying drawings wherein: [0010] Figures I to 4 illustrate embodiments of the invention; [0011] In the following description, like reference characters designate like or corresponding parts throughout the figures. DESCRIPTIONS OF EMBODIMENTS [0012] The aforementioned shortcomings are resolved by a pair of PET bottles with beverage, the essence is that it consists of two PET bottles with a thread furnished neck, where the first PET bottle contains an outer joining element on an outer surface of the neck and the second PET bottle is furnished with an inner joining element on an inner surface of the neck in order to join with the outer joining element of the first PET bottle, whereas one of the PET bottles is furnished with a closing foil. The said PET bottles are joined so that the neck of the first PET bottle is through its outer joining element joined with the neck of the second PET bottle by means of its inner joining element. [0013] Thread or bayonet closing are possible joining elements. [0014] According to a preferred embodiment the joined necks of the first PET bottle and the second PET bottle can be covered with a closure. The said closure can be provided with a recess to accommodate a small gift and/or a sealing strip. [0015] Example I [0016] Fig. I shows PET bottle I furnished on its neck with an outer joining element 2 in a form of thread and PET bottle 3 furnished on its neck with an inner joining element 4 in a form of thread. After filling, PET bottle I is closed by laminate or aluminum foil and screwed into the filled PET bottle 3 having inner thread on the inner surface of the neck of the latter bottle.
[0017] Example 2 [0018] Figure 2 shows a solution to the one on Figure 1, they differ in the neck width of PET bottles 1, 3. A sealing strip (not shown) can be a part of the cover. (0019] Example 3 [0020] Figure 3 depicts another embodiment of the technical solution. The necks of the joined PET bottles are covered with cover 5. Joining element 2 is made as a single piece and cannot be divided. Neck of bottle 1 is not positioned centrally, but asymmetrically so that the edges of the joining element align with the bottle circumference. Sealing strips (not depicted) can be placed on both ends of the joining element 2. [0021] The cover (5) does not have a cylindrical shape as shown on the pictures, but for instance its outer envelope may bulge outwards or be slightly impressed inwards. [0022] Example 4 [0023] Figure 4 depicts a set of two PET bottles 1, 3 having wide necks, PET bottle 1 provided with joining element 2 in a form of thread and PET bottle 3 furnished with joining element 4 in a form of thread. After filling of PET bottles 1, 3 and closing the first PET bottle I with aluminum foil, the said bottle is screwed into the inner thread of the neck of PET bottle 3 having cover 5, which is furnished with recess 6 for placing a small gift, such as a plastic friendship bracelet. [0024] The advantage of the technical solution is that it is possible to create packages of two identical or different beverages, such as sparkling water/still water; flavoured mineral water/unflavoured mineral water or mineral water flavoured with various flavours. [0025] The technical solution represents a new marketing tool having an undertone of strong friendship and love, primarily for young people, sportsmen and families. [0026] Throughout the specification and the claims that follow, unless the context requires otherwise, the words "comprise" and "include" and variations such as "comprising" and "including" will be understood to imply the inclusion of a stated integer or group of integers, but not the exclusion of any other integer or group of integers.
