Description

1. Description The invention describes the securing of blanket/covers onto the hood of a baby pram/stroller without causing any damage to fabric. Fabric blankets/covers are used by many parents or care giver to protect the baby/child from the weather elements and to aid sleep. Blanket/covers that are often used may include muslin (cheesecloth fabric), cotton swaddle fabric, pram blankets, and towels. Often the blanket/cover is attached to the pram/stroller by tying or clipping the fabric to the back of the hood or hood braces as well as the handle/frame of the pram/stroller. These methods can result in either the blanket/cover being removed by the elements such as wind or does not cover the infant as intended because the blanket/cover is being clipped and stretched over the entire pram/stroller top to be secured therefore not giving the end result of shielding the infant from the weather elements effectively or helping to aid sleep. In order to combat this problem the invention described will connect to the hood of a pram/stroller via a clamping effect of the blanket/cover of choice between the magnet and metal plate, which is very light weight therefore ensuring no damage to the hood or fabric blanket/cover should be caused and is very safe to all who use the magnetic fabric strap as there are no external elements to catch fingers. Because the magnetic fabric strap attaches along the front brim of the hood any viewing windows that pre-exist on the hood are not obscured by the blanket/cover when attached (see Photo. 1). The magnetic fabric strap (see Fig.1) will consist of a strong magnet and metal plate which will be encased into each end of the fabric strap by securely sewn seams (see Photo.2). The strong magnet consists of two smaller magnets securely encased in a protective plastic shell that connects with the metal plate (see photo.3).
2. To assist with understanding the invention, reference will now be made to the accompanying photos and computer generated drawing in order to outline how the invention is made and its function. In the photos: Photo 1: Shows an example of the magnetic fabric straps attached to the brim of a pram/stroller hood whilst holding a blanket/cover in place. Photo 2: Shows an example of the magnetic fabric strap. Photo 3: Shows an example of the strong magnet and metal plate that will be encased in the fabric strap. Fig. 1: Shows a computer generated drawing of the magnet fabric strap. Referring to Fig.1 it can be seen that the magnetic fabric strap according to this invention comprises a strong magnet 1 that consists of two smaller magnets encased in a protective plastic shell that connects to a metal plate 2. The strong magnet and metal plate are encased in the fabric 3 that is formed by sewing the case then passing 1 and 2 within the case and sewing 1 and 2 respectively at each end of the fabric strap to make them secure.
