" Sandwich all three together with pellon in the middle. Quilt together with matching thread, sewing vertical rows of stitching with 2.5cm spacing. Inside pocket, handle, belt flap, outside pocket, finger pull tab and binding. A - nsid Pocet patted rn D) 1 To the inside pocket iron interfacing to the wrong side, place visaflix (heat and bond) over this to the top 5cm, iron to bond. Turn top 5cm down onto wrong side and iron to bond. See figure 1. 2 Overlock bottom edge of pocket. 3 Mark the centre line on right side of inside pocket. At the bottom, mark 2cm each side of this line. Make a pleat on each side to take up extra width to fit front panel. Anchor with a few stitches. See figure 2. 1 Fold handle piece in half lengthwise with right sides together. Sew the seam to form a tube and turn right side out. Iron flat with seam to one edge. 2 Draw a double thickness of pellon 3cm x 16cm wide into the tube to form a padded handle. Trim the pellon to the length of the handle less 1.3cm and turn in 6mm seam allowance each end. C etflap pttr F) 1 To the belt flap piece, fold in half to make 10cm x 19.5cm, right sides together. Sew the seams and iron the visaflix to one side. 2 Turn right side out and iron to fix. Overlock the bottom edge. 1 Fold in half lengthwise and sew seam to form a tube. Turn right side out and iron flat. 1 Cut 127cm length of belting and overlock both ends. 2 Attach click closures to belt. F- Botesev pte n & 1 To the top edge of bottle sleeve (H) attach elastic casing strip. Turn right side over to back and sew a line of stitching 1.8cm down from top edge to form elastic casing. 2 Sew 2 rows of gathering stitch along the bottom edge. Pin bottom edge of sleeve to curved edge of bottle base (pattern piece 1) with right sides together. Drawing the gathering threads in slightly to fit exactly around the curved edge of base. See figure 3.
1 Join the 4.5cm bias strips together and press the seams open. 2 Press in half lengthways to form a double fold applied binding. See figure 4. 1 Cut a 12cm long strip of 2cm wide Velcro for front closure. 2 Cut a 17.5cm long strip of 2cm wide Velcro. Then cut this strip in half lengthwise for belt concealment flap. With erasable pencil, mark each panel to show placement of velcro closures, handle, belt flap, finger pull tab, belt and bottle sleeve. - Fluffy side velcro closure, finger pull tab, handle and belt * Loopy side velcro closure for belt concealment flap. e Placement of flap. * Loopy side velcro front closure and inside pocket placement. e Placement of bottle sleeve. 1 Attach the fluffy side velcro closure to marked position on wrong side. Trim to shape and sew in position. 2 Position handle and sew onto right side. 3 Sew 17.5cm loopy side velcro on marked line for belt flap on right side. 4 Sew 17.5cm fluffy side velcro onto folded edge of belt flap. 5 Place belt concealment flap 6mm above marked line and sew on the line. (Making sure the velcro strip is on the under side when flap is closed.) 6 Position the belt on the markings and sew into place. 7 Place one end of finger pull tab onto marked position on right side, sew across velcro sew line. Then fold tab back over and place both ends together. 8 Sew binding to right side top edge. Trim back seam allowance. Fold binding over to wrong side and sew into place. 9 Attach (loopy side) 12cm velcro strip to marked position on right side. 10 Place top of pocket onto marked line on wrong side. Sew down the centre to form 2 pockets.
11 To the right side sew the binding across one end. Trim the seam allowance and fold binding over to the wrong side and sew into place. 12 Place bottom edge of bottle sleeve 6mm above marked line on side panel, right sides together. Sew across the marked line. Fold up and pin edges of sleeve and side panel together. K -To comlt(h a 1 With wrong sides together, attach the bound end of the side panel (including inside pocket and bottle sleeve into the seam) stop 3cm from end of seam. Trim side panel to fit then add binding to side panel in same manner as J8. Finish sewing the last 3cm of seam. 2 Find the centre point of the bottom edge of the back panel and mark the spot. Then find the centre of the side panel. With wrong sides together, place both panels together at the centre marks. Sew the three sides to form the bag, including the bottle sleeve into the seam. 3 Trim the seam allowance and add the binding in the same manner as J8 continuing the binding around the whole of the back panel, enclosing the finger pull tab and bottle sleeve into the binding seam. 4 Add binding to front panel at seam in the sammer manner as J8. The kit is now complete!
