Page 2 of 4 The Winter Bed Sleeping Pouch Winter Bed Sleeping Pouch will be described and discussed below with the acronym WBSP. 1. WBSP is a pocket or pouch like sleeping bed linen, which can be fit under a bed doona or duvet if required. 2. WBSP will enable a person to slide in/out and zip up from either side via a zip 1.5 meter opening. 3. WBSP will be made in King, Queen and Single bed sizes. Kid's and sleeping bag inlay sizes are a future intention. 4. W3SP will be made with warm. material, which will retain body heat and act as a natural heating element. Current prototype designs utilize Sapphire Fleece and synthetic fur materials such as polyester. Future designs will utilize much more effective and durable material to fulfill purpose of WBSP. Colors of pouch may vary to accommodate market demands. 5. There will be 2 extra-large plastic zips on either side of WBSP to enable opening/closure within/outside the WBSP. Future designs will introduce silent Velcro (trademark) and Buttons for a more slick and self closing feature. 6. Zips will be approximately for 1.5 meters each side and will allow a noise free operation. 7. WBSP will contain 2 flaps on the header side of bed: l(Bottom flap) - goes beneath the pillows. 2 (Top flap)- Acts as the head cover to stop drafts. Each flap will be 12 inches in length. 8. At the 2 leg corners and on the head side bottom flap corners there will be elastic straps to wrap around the mattress to avoid WBSP roll over during set up or sleep. 9. WBSP will be made to handle High, Medium and Low temperatures. Materials used will differ based on this requirement. 10. WBSP will be washable and wouldn't shrink. 11. WBSP can be flipped inside out for cleaning during washing. 12. All stitching and seams of WBSP will be within the WBSP and sealed to avoid any uncomfortable rubbing with the body and to enhance the visual appearance. 13. The stitching along the zips are to avoid them getting caught during opening or closing of the zips. 14. Material used for WBSP will not be thick as a sleeping bag; it is to be thin and should be warm upon body contact unlike cotton during winter. Product Statement: " The purpose of WBSP is to retain body heat and provide natural warmth to the people sleeping within. " WBSP, even though may resemble a sleeping bag characters, its not quite it. Also a sleeping bag is often not intended for a domestic bed use, Although this is debatable, this is where the introduction of WBSP eliminates this gap for a domestic house usage. * WBSP is designed to reduce the cost a family spends on expensive doona or duvet for winter usage. At least this is the intent.

Page 3 of 4 a The intention of WBSP is to assist families cut down winter house heating costs with an affordable alternative during their sleeps. 0 Due to various sizes of WBSP and also the thickness, WBSP can be used as an inlay within sleeping bags to avoid making a mess within the sleeping bags. Often sleeping bags are not intended for a full wash. * WBSP is not suitable for infants without parental supervision, since it can suffocate if an infant or child is left between both top and bottom flaps. Therefore if required, persons are to use a smaller size which will avoid a child being trapped within. - Based on the research done so far, a similar product to WBSP and its usage has not been found to this date. Products seen are sleeping bags and for outdoor usage intended. a Also department stores and specialized bed and linen stores do not sell such a product similar in concept or usage. * WBSP is intended to be a part of fashionable bed linen range unlike the out door purpose sleeping bags.

Claims (5)

1. The different sizes (King, Queen and Single) of WBSP, each will consist of 2 layers of Fleece or Warm polyester material with pouch like structure where the feet section will be stitched and concealed, the 2 sides will consist of 1.5 meters plastic zip opening, while the head side will remain open with a 12 incbes long head and bottom flaps.

2. As claimed in Claim 1: the 2 sides' opening zippers will be plastic, extra large, and consists of 2 large zip candles which will allow people to open from inside and outside. Alternative mechanism will consist of Silent Velcro, Velcro (Trademark), Large Buttons.

3. As claimed in Claim 1 Material used to develop WBSP will be Sapphire fleece, Polyester and any plush fleece which retains body heat and will be warm upon skin contact.

4. The WBSP header flap will be to the width of planned standard bed sizes (Icing, Queen and Single) and length of it will remain 12 inches from the zip operation end.

5. On the 2 leg sides of pouch and on the bottom flaps of head side, there will be elastic loops to trap all 4 corners of the WBSP during setup of bed and roll over during sleep.
