AUSTRALIA Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT DOORLOCK - FIXINGTOOL The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: Description: Door lock - Fixing tool This invention relates to an improved tool useful for the installation of door locks. In particular the invelion relates to a tool comprising a drilling guide for facilitating the drilling of holes in a door and. at the same tirne marking the outline for a latch plate. The present invention relates to a tool comprising a first part (1) having a first drilling guide (4) for dr Iling a hole in a first side of a door, and a second part having a second drilling guide (3) for drilling a hole in a second side of said door, wherein the second part is connected to the first rart, and wherein the first part further comprises sharp edges adapted for marking an outline o the first side of the door. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the first and second parts are essentially perpendicular to each other and preferably the first side is the edge of the door and the second side is the face of the door. When the tool is mounted against the door an outline is obtained, this outline being preferably for a latch plate. According to the invention the first part (1) of the tool is thereby placed against the door and preferably hit with a hamme such that -he tool has gone its full distance. Then holes can be drilled using the drilling g ides (3) and (4). According to the invention the tool is suitably used as a door lock fixing tocl to facilitate the mounting of a door lock in a door. Claims (5)

1. A tool comprising - a first part having a first drilling guide for drilling a hole in a first side of a door, and - 2 second part having a second drilling guide for drilling a hole in a second side of said door, wherein the second part is connected to the first part, and wherein the first part nuither comprises sharp edges adapted for marking an outline on the first side of the door.
2. The toc1 of claim 1, wherein the first and second parts are essentially perpendicular to each other.
3. The toc1 of any one of claims 1 or 2, wherein the first side is the edge of the door and the second si e is the face of the door.
4. The too of any one of claims I to 3, wherein the outline is an outline for a latch plate.
