Description

8 NAY 2009 AUSTRALIA Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT COLOUR SAFETY AWARENESS My invention is described in the following statement includes method and performing. Application No: 2006200563 Julia Ellis 10 February 2006 COLOUR - SAFETY - AWARENESS 1x5 My invention relates to Improvement on Road Safety as we continually search for a system that can reduce the road fatality, this method using three colour paints down the centre of the road will represent a warning. The red color highlights caution 5 and this will alert drivers that the section of road is dangerous and to slow down, this allows the driver to act instantly rather than trying to spot signs or not knowing where bends and bumps and black spots are, this would assist in countries arrears and freeways. The paint may be applied in one continuous line or broken lines this paint could be high lighted with a luminous paint and have a non slip paint, each location will be assessed for the distance to be painted. 10 The red could be used on its own, though if followed by the amber this colour represents the speed limit at the given location then followed by the green color would indicate it is safe to continue. 15 The amount of deaths contributed to speed also dealing with people who are inexperienced this makes it easy for them to loose focus or just driving as a every day activity, the attention needs to be on the new P plate drivers and the aged who have difficulties such as no advanced warning to show where accident have occurred or the design of the road itself is not safe, entering a township and roads that are known as black spots this will safe guard other drivers from the same mishap. 20 This can give security and safety to drivers and a reduced work load in maintaining the signs of Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance along with the loss of life that affects the people left behind and not including the Insurance and liability costs. 25 This method could be taught to children at school using colouring books. 30 Advantages: Using my method with the colour paint as a pre warning device this will help drivers make an instantaneous decision, also making it easy to be seen from a reasonable distance when on the approach or departing. This is comprehendible for any age or nationality as my method enables the drivers to keep their eyes on the road and will alert drivers when zones have changed. Application No: 2006200563 Julia Ellis 10 February 2006 COLOUR SAFETY AWARENESS 2X5 My invention color safety awareness using three different colour paints, the first Red second Amber followed by Green each colour has it's own representation, the colour paint could also be in a luminous paint and would be applied down the centre or outer sides of the road applying one continuous line with a non slip painted surface. 5. Figure 1. Highlights a section of hazardous road in Red colour paint which represent a warning to drivers they are approaching a dangerous zone and to slow down. 10. Figure 2 After the red lines Amber colour lines painted down the centre of the road for the nominated distance the amber colour will represent the allocated speed supported with an amber sign stipulating the speed. 15. Figure 3 The highlighted green line or lines down the centre of the road marked after the Amber colour would indicate to drivers it is fine to continue and they have passed through the danger zones. To assist with understanding with this invention: reference accompanied by drawings, 20. There has been no proposal known to me where colour paint has been used in this manner. 25. The method of the colored paint with permanent marked areas this will assist drivers in the zones of schools and disable locations and will cut costs of maintenance. Application No: 2006200563 Julia Ellis 10 February 2006
