Abstract

The tandem master cylinder (10) comprises a bore (14) in which axial primary (16) and secondary pistons slide. There are seals (48) in contact with each piston delimiting a rear supply chamber (56) and a front pressure chamber (58). Each piston comprises a drilling emerging in its periphery and in its bore (78) which forms a valve (82) for isolating the front pressure chamber when it clears the seal and thus allows the establishment of a braking pressure. The front pressure chamber of each piston comprises a tubular element (90) which can be disengaged inside the associated piston and which extends axially behind the seal in order to seal the drilling along its reduced travel.
