Abstract

The invention relates to a device (2), for recording the surface characteristics of a fibrous structured object (3), with at least one light-emitting light source (11) and at least one camera (12), for recording light reflected from the object. A light source (11) or the light sources (11) are embodied for the generation of at least two planar light beams (14) directed at a surface (13) of the object (3) and a first light beam (16) and a second light beam (18) are directed such that, on the light beam (14) striking the surface (13) of the object (3), both light beams (16, 18) generate a first track (17) of light and a second track (19) of light on the surface (13) and the first track (17) and/or the second track (19) of light are directed at an angle to a straight line (24), in particular at an angle of ca. 45 DEG .
