Abstract

Heater element (1) for thermo-welding unit, for heating contact surfaces of thermoplastic workpiece, comprises housing (2) with heatable edge section (3) which is matched to contours of contact surface. A gas burner unit (4) is located on rear of heatable edge and follows its contour. The flames are directed against rear of heatable edge. A heater element (1) for a thermo-welding unit, for heating the contact surfaces of a thermoplastic workpiece, comprises a housing (2) with a heatable edge section (3) which is matched to the contours of the contact surface. A gas burner unit (4) is located on the rear of the heatable edge and follows its contour. The flames are directed against the rear of the heatable edge. The heater element consists of stainless steel over the heating region, and the burner has a suction unit coupled to it, which draws off the gases and vapors produced. The burner has 800-1000 nozzle openings (5) per meter, and their spacing varies.
