Abstract
Combination feeler (1) has a feeler carrier (6) and a driver motor (14) that can be used to position the feeler about an axis (12) so that it is acted on with a predefined force or moment. A sensor arrangement (15) detects the angular position of the carrier. A number of different feelers (2, 3) are connected to the feeler carrier so that it can be used for different purposes. Alternately or additionally optical or other non-contact scanning elements can be used.
