Abstract

The invention relates to a method for cooling material flows or for carefully heating heat-sensitive material flows, especially slurry. The material flow transported through a heat exchanging installation is brought into contact with heat-exchanging surfaces in the heat-exchanging installation. The aim of the invention is to enable a rapid heat exchange without large differences in temperature, using one such method. To this end, the heat-exchanging surfaces are located on the surfaces of auxiliary material bodies transported in the circulation by means of the heat-exchanging installation. Said bodies are introduced into the heat-exchanging installation in a cooled state or a heated state. They are then mixed with the material flow to be treated, separated from the same, regenerated and redirected back into the circulation.
