Abstract

The invention relates to a willow bark extract which is extracted by means of a solvent mixture consisting of a supercritical gas and an organic co-solvent, and contains at least 25 wt. % of salicin, in relation to the solid content and according to the alkaline saponification. The inventive extract has an improved pharmacological activity.
