Abstract

A floor covering, especially for animal sheds, comprising a lower side (12) which is positioned such that it faces the ground, and an upper side (32) which is provided such that it can be walked on. The area of the floor covering (10) forming the lower side (12) has a first material layer (34) made of a base material which is cross-linked during the production of said floor covering (10), and a second material layer (36) which adjoins the first material layer (34), preferably forming the area forming the upper side (32), made of a base material which is cross-linked during the production of the floor covering (10) and in which filling elements (38) are embedded.
