Abstract
Cell cultivation apparatus, for the high density cultivation of cells to yield products from them, comprising a cultivation zone comprised of a number of fixed chambers and a supply zone (4) separated from the cultivation zone by semi permeable walls, is new. Cell cultivation apparatus, for the high density cultivation of cells to yield products from them, comprising a cultivation zone comprised of a number of fixed chambers and a supply zone (4) separated from the cultivation zone by semi permeable walls, is new. The cells are fed with a gas and cell culture mixture in the form of a mist, from a mixer (8), in a composition which can be variably adjusted. The cell products are dissolved in the gas/cell culture mixture and are recovered through the semi-permeable walls into a collection vessel (6). The semi-permeable walls are hollow fiber membranes.
