Abstract

The invention concerns a method for simultaneous sanitary treatment of a fluid and its distribution network, in particular for eradicating pathogenic micro-organisms. The invention is characterised in that it comprises the following successive steps: supplying fluid to be treated, raising said fluid to a pasteurization temperature TP for a pasteurization time interval tP, lowering the fluid temperature to a value TD < TP, called distribution value but higher than the micro-organism eradication temperature, continuously circulating said fluid at temperature TD through the network towards the distribution stations so as to destroy the biofilm formed and to prevent another biofilm from being formed, and recycling part at least of the non-consumed fluid to maintain it at said temperature TD. The invention also concerns the related device.
