Abstract
The invention relates to a base station sub-system in a mobile communication network, in particular a cellular mobile communication network, comprising a controller unit, where said controller unit is connected to a circuit switched network generating a plurality of circuit switched data frames, and where said controller unit is connected to a packet switched network generating a plurality of packet switched data frames. To enable a simultaneous circuit switched and packet switched communication over one dedicated channel between a base station sub-system and a mobile station is achieved in a way that a packet control unit comprises multiplexing/demultiplexing means, multiplexing/demultiplexing said circuit switched data frames and said packet switched data frames to/from a plurality of transmission data frames.
