Abstract

A hygienic toilet has a seat which can be raised and lowered and is covered by a paper mat. The paper mat can be removed from a box, against whose open front side the raised seat rests and the paper mats are arranged in the box. A removal device is arranged in the seat for removing a paper mat which is activated via a Bowden cable or a linkage (45) via a lifting drive. The pivot drive of the seat is effected either by an electric motor (6) or by a hydraulic motor (27). <IMAGE>
