Abstract

The invention relates to a method for denitrifying waste waters in a clarification plant, comprising at least one preliminary clarification tank (2) with an inlet (1), at least one biological clarification stage (6) and at least one final clarification tank (8). The inventive method is characterized in that the nitrified waste water (9) contained in the final clarification tank (8) is recycled with the excess sludge (13) coming out of the biological clarification stage and the sludge mixture coming out of the preliminary clarification tank (2) in the inlet of the preliminary clarification tank (2).
