Abstract

Device for the washing of smoke gas, having an improved purifying action due to intensive application of foam. Specifically, the device consists of a radial compressor (10) connected to a smoke gas flue (18), said compressor, working in conjunction with a hood (24), forcing the smoke gas through purifying liquid (22) to which a foaming agent has been added, and through turbulence equipment (26), whereby foam is generated. Large amounts of foam may be generated, as excess is avoided by the action of a very efficient foam dispersal device (14). Said device consists of a radial fan (48) and deflection walls (52-58), against which the foam is projected. The walls are preferably conical in shape. The purifying liquid recouped during the dispersal stage is returned through return flow openings (64) to the foam generation area (12).
