Abstract

A fastener (1) for a baby's diaper (13) is provided which comprises at least three generally elastic arms (4,5) radiating from a central zone (3) and each provided with a hook or tooth unit (9) at its free end. The arms can each be resiliently extended and the associated tooth unit engaged with a cloth or fabric diaper to retain the two ends (6,14) of the part (4,3) thereof encircling a baby's waist in required relative positions and also to hold a portion (5) passing between the baby's legs in position relative to the former. The fastener obviates the use of conventional safety pins with the associated disadvantages and danger.
