Abstract

1. A device for shrinking a shrinkage hood (4) drawn onto a stack of goods (3) comprising a support surface (1) for the stack of goods (3) and a mast (5) adjacent thereto, to which mast there is attached a shrinkage device (9) mounted for movement alongside the stack of goods (3) and operates with a hot gas, which device heats the stack of goods (3) on all sides, characterized in that the mast (5) comprises vertical guides (10, 11) for a press ram (14, 15, 16) which is mounted for reciprocal movement on the mast to effect the compression of the stack of goods (3) and in that the shrinkage device (9) is mounted such that it is movable around the stack of goods (3) and is mounted above the guides (10, 11) on a support arm (7) projecting from the upper end of the mast (5).
