Abstract

The luminaire has a retaining area for accommodating an oblong light source e.g. fluorescent tube (1). A reflector unit (2) comprises reflector surfaces (3, 3a, 3b, 3c) that are arranged beside the light source and viewed from an area to be illuminated. The reflector unit is self-supported, and comprises molded cavities (4) and recesses (13) for retaining and holding functional elements such as a luminaire socket, a luminaire holder, a luminaire operating device (7), leveling elements and assembly elements. Cooling ribs (6) are formed at a back side of the reflector unit.
