Abstract

The safety helmet has a carrier to clamp the shock absorber against the helmet body. The carrier also supports the helmet, visors, ear shields and communication units. The carrier has a leading (4.1) and a trailing (4.2) section with round openings (4.2.1) at the ends with the required contour (4.3,4.4) for them to clip together with rotation. The trailing section has an angled zone (45) to support the neck section of the shock absorber and a vertical zone (4.6) for a neck protector to cover and extend the shock absorber at the neck. The leading section has a head hoop (4.1.1) and an angled cover (4.1.2) for the forehead.
