A transformer is disclosed which comprises a coil former for holding a first coil and a second coil, with at least one of the coils having a plug-in laminate winding; and the plug-in laminate winding has one or more turns which are arranged in a stacked form, with at least two gaps being formed between the turns of the plug-in laminate winding in order to hold the second coil.
