Abstract

The cooler (10) has a coolant housing (11) comprising a housing part (14) i.e. plastic-cooling jacket shell, connected with a housing part (12) i.e. aluminum-heat exchanger, in a liquid-tight and pressure-tight manner. A mechanical connection (15) connects fixing flanges (30, 32) of the housing parts with each other. A circular sealing groove (17) and a sealing rod (20) are attached to the respective flanges, where sealing rod is inserted into the groove in a press-fit manner. A full-floating axis stands perpendicular to a force axis of a pressing force between the sealing rod and the groove.
