Abstract

The press unit (5) for the transport unit (2) comprises a press cushion enclosed in a variable shape sleeve. The cushion acts as a roller bearing for the transported object (7) on top of the support (6) or transport unit. <??>The transport device (1) is used to move an object in a pre-determined direction relative to a support bracing the object on at least one side. The transport device includes at least one revolving transport unit connected to at least one coupling part (3) and at least one displacement part (4, 4). The coupling part comprises a press unit which when activated creates a drive connection between either the transport unit and the object or the transport unit and the support. The displacement part is used either to move the object and connected transport unit or to move the object relative to the transport unit connected to the support. A holder unit (8) is used to fix the object into position when the coupling part is not actuated. Independent claims are also included for (a) a telescopic system, especially a telescopic crane arm, comprising at least one of the above transport devices for moving one or more inner box parts relative to an outer box part, and (b) a telescoping method for this type of telescopic system.
