Abstract

A pushing device for a pad, or pad sector (2), of a polishing machine, is provided for pushing an abrasive means (A) against an element to be polished (P). The device comprises a plunger piston means (3) sliding in a respective cylinder (4) and in cooperation with the head of said cylinder (4) forms a pressure room (5) fed, by means of a duct (12), with a pressurized gas for pushing the plunger piston means (3). Said pad or pad sector (2) is fixed to the plunger piston means (3).
