Abstract
The method involves specifying a function dependent on at least one parameter influencing a switching time that reproduces the time dependency of the switching current (10) and the switching voltage (6) and applying the switching voltage essentially to achieve an accurately timed switching value of the switching current for closing a contact (9) essentially at the supply voltage null crossing.
