Abstract

1. Apparatus for the packing of at least one sheet-like item (12) into an envelope formed from a folded sheet (4), with a conveying arrangement (2, 3) for the conveyance of in each case one sheet (4) along a first path of movement through a guiding arrangement (5-7) into a folding pocket (8) and against a stop (9), with compression of the sheet (4), a pair of conveyor rollers (1, 2), arranged on one side of the said path of movement, for grasping the sheet (4) in the compression area and forming a fold (17), and a feed (11), lying opposite the pair of conveyor rollers (1, 2) with respect to the said path of movement, which feed leads the sheet-like items (12) to be packed into the compression area, characterized in that the feed (11) passes through the part (5, 6) of the guiding arrangement (5-7) opposite the pair of conveyor rollers (1, 2) with respect to the first path of movement.
