Abstract

Shaft gap sealing has a circular sealing groove, which is provided in the area of the drive side end of the labyrinth seal, e.g. directly at the drive side end of the labyrinth seal, for the liquid passing through the labyrinth seal. The sealing groove is connected with the area of the work side end of the labyrinth seal, by a return line, which is provided at lower side e.g. directly at the drive side end of the labyrinth seal. A shaft sealing ring, formed as sealing lip, is provided between the first drive side bearing and the labyrinth seal, whereby shaft sealing ring is opened by sufficient seal gas pressure and allows to pass seal gas and is closed during the deficiency of seal gas.
