Abstract

1. Drying frame (1) having an upright pole (2) and a plurality of arms (3) which can be spread outwards and between which there run individual sections (7') of a washing line (7), having a supporting ring (4) which surrounds the pole (2), is mounted so as to be displaceable along the latter and on which are secured at one end in articulated fashion the spreadable arms (3), and having ties (8) which are each associated with one of the arms (3) and are swivellably connected at one end, via an articulation, to the associated arm (3) and at the other end to a head part (10) of the pole (2), it being possible, by displacement of the supporting ring (4) along the pole (2), to spread the arms (3) outwards or, by displacement of the supporting ring (4) in the opposite direction along the pole, to draw the arms (3) in into a rest position in which they rest against the pole (2), and means being provided with the aid of which at least partially closed hollow spaces (14) for receiving the drooping washing-line sections (7') are formed between the arms (3) are in the drawn-in rest position, and at least some of the line sections (7') furthermore being provided with at least one weight (18) for the purpose of guiding the line sections (7') into the hollow spaces (14), said line sections hanging loose during the folding up of the arms (3).
