Abstract

Use of polyethylene glycolester of fatty acid (I) as lubricants in the processing of thermoplastics, is claimed. Use of polyethylene glycolester of fatty acid (I) of formula (R 1>-COO-O-(CH 2-CH 2-O) n-OC-R 2>) as lubricants in the processing of thermoplastics, is claimed. R 1>, R 2>7-23C alkyl (optionally saturated); and n : 2-50 (preferably 2-4). An independent claim is included for the use of lubricant combinations comprising (I) and one or more additional lubricants, which does not fall under (I) (where the weight ratio of (I) to additional lubricant is 10:90-90:10, preferably 20:80-80:20), for thermoplastic plastics.
