Abstract
The invention relates to a method for serially producing a piston, in which a casting melt is filled into a multipiece casting mold and at least one feeder via a delivery zone. According to the invention, the opening of the end of the feeder shell that is open at the top is impinged upon by a gas pressure which acts upon the casting melt after casting the piston blank. The tightness of the feeder is ensured by using a collar-type feeder.
