Abstract

1. An apparatus for a slipless conveyance of two plates, particularly of glass plates, which are held to be coextensive and in register and parallel to each other and spaced apart and are supported at one of their broadsides and are conveyed in its plane (which will subsequently be described as the plane of travel of a given plate) and are conveyed in any desired position, particularly in an inclined, vertical or approximately vertical position, characterized in that at least two vacuum-applying conveyors (100) are provided, which are adapted to by driven in synchronism and extend parallel to each other and are disposed opposite to each other and spaced apart and intended to engage the two plates (31, 21) at those of their broadsides which are remote from each other.
