Abstract

The lifting device (1) has a main frame (2) and two displaceable supports (3) each mounted on an end of the main frame. The free ends of the supports have receiving members to couple onto the container, and the supports and/or receiving members are driven by an electric drive whereby the supports are guided by rolling bearings in the main frame. The displaceable supports are made from carbon fibre compound material or steel. The electric drive preferably has two electric motors.
