Abstract
The pump has pump units (1, 2), a supply line (7), a suction line (5) and a switching device (6). There is also a load pressure device (8) to improve the degree of filling in suction mode by actively compressing the viscous fluid. The load pressure device is wholly or partly connected to the supply line in the region of the switching phase.
