Abstract
The shock absorber unit has a shock absorber (2) and damper platform (1) forming a module which is detachably fastened on brackets (6) in the bogie (10). The shock absorber lies upon the damper platform at least by its damper heads (3) separately constructed on both ends, and a locking element (4) is detachably fastened on each side of the damper head at the bottom and clamps behind the top flange of the damper platform. A recess (7) is formed on the damper head at the connecting point of the locking element to the damper head. An Independent claim is included for an arrangement whereby installation and removal in the bogie of the module consisting of a shock absorber and damper platform can be carried out preferably from beneath.
