Abstract
The invention relates to a method and device for tilting metallurgical vessels (1), particularly pouring ladles that, via journals (2), are pivotally mounted in a suspension device (3). The aim of the invention is to economically enable a simple, reliable and rapid tilting of pouring ladles and, in particular, to eliminate the use of drives or secondary crane lifting. To this end, a metallurgical vessel (1) is tilted by the gravitational force acting thereupon around the axis of its journals (2) from a vertical position and into a horizontal position.
