Abstract

1. Heating apparatus for preheating fuel oil, in which heating elements (1) made of cold conducting material, electrodes (2) covering the heating elements and electrically insulating ductile inserts (3) are pressed into an interspace (4) in a carrier which forms part of a flow channel for the fuel oil, characterised in that the carrier comprises two bar elements (5, 6) which lie beside one another spaced at a distance to form the interspace (4) and each of which has at least one section (9, 9a) of the flow channel, said elements being in sealing engagement at each end with a respective holder (10, 11) which has a transition space (12) which is connected to the channel sections (9, 9a) of the bar elements (5, 6) and to a terminal section (13) of the flow channel.
