Abstract
The method involves detecting a vehicle (16) situated in a predetermined position. A flash unit (17) and two digital photographic systems (7) e.g. video cameras, are simultaneously switched on, where the flash unit emits light in a visible spectral range. The systems provide two images of which one represents an image of a vehicle driver and another represents the number plate of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a system for identifying a moving vehicle.
