The starting interruption device has a control device (24) coupled to the electric starter motor (2), the fuel injection device (20) and the ignition system (22), with a timer for delayed disconnection of the starter motor relative to the disconnection of the fuel injection device and the ignition system, in response to a starting interrupt signal.
