Abstract

The invention relates to a liquid ring pump (10) for transporting liquids. Said pump comprises a first housing element (11) on the drive side and a second housing element (12) on the front side, said housing elements being interconnected by means of a tongue and groove arrangement (38) and surrounding a working chamber (15). At least one impeller (16) provided with blades (27) is rotatably arranged in the working chamber (15). Said pump also comprises control means (22) which define a suction chamber and a pressure chamber (25,29) inside the pump. The inventive liquid ring pump is characterised in that the tongue and groove arrangement (38) is centrally embodied in relation to the rotational axis (13) of the impeller (16). The central engagement of the two housing elements significantly reduces the production and assembly costs as two excenters do not need to be fitted together.
