Abstract
The device has a measurement chamber, a transmitter and a signal processing unit with a receiver unit (1) for receiving radiation output by the transmitter and scattered by smoke or other aerosols and an alarm evaluation unit (3). The signal processing unit contains a control loop (5) with a regulating unit (4) and the control parameter for the control loop is superimposed on the output signal of the receiver unit.
