Abstract

The pump has at least one reciprocating piston (9) partly contained in a pump chamber (4) of a pump housing (2) and partly contained in a drive chamber (3) of the pump housing, the piston cooperating with a high-pressure seal (14) and an oil seal (15), with a collection space for leakage fluid between them. The piston has a peripheral channel (19) between the seals, the latter spaced so that the peripheral channel does not reach either seal during the piston reciprocation.
